Uber, Lyft, and Anchorage are said to be remaining with Libra, despite slew of dropouts

Ride-hailing giants Uber and Lyft, as well as cryptocurrency custodian Anchorage, are said to be sticking with the Libra Association for now, according to BBC and CNBC.

“A ray of immense hope for Facebook. Lyft tells the BBC it is still in the Libra Association,” said BBC reporter Dave Lee on Twitter

“Uber… says there is no change to its participation at this time,” CNBC reporter Sally Shin wrote in a tweet.

Meanwhile, Anchorage co-founder Diogo Monica told The Block earlier this week that the company “is dedicated to continuing the mission of the Libra Association and is proud to be a founding member.”

The Libra Association, an alliance of companies that will collectively govern Facebook’s Libra stablecoin project, has been dealing with a series of losses on Friday. eBay, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Mercado Pago, and Stripe have all announced their exit from the organization.

The remaining 22 members of the association will formally sign charters to officially join the organization on Monday in a private governance meeting.
