Sallie Krawcheck, former CFO at Citi, has stepped down from Digital Asset’s board of directors, alongside exec Sofus Mortensen, CoinDesk reported Thursday.
The industrial blockchain-provider declined to comment but the article pointed to the disappearance of Krawcheck’s name on the company’s website as well as to Mortensen’s LinkedIn profile, which confirms his exit as product manager of “DA’s open source smart contract programming language.”
Their reported departures follow the resignation of former CEO, Blythe Masters late last year, as well as that of European chief Gavin Wells and their recently-hired CTO James Powell last month. The Block heard from a company source last week who hinted Krawcheck’s departure was “fake news” and blamed competitors for spreading rumours.
Krawcheck joined the board in March 2016, on the eve of a fundraising round which brought in over $60 million. She is currently CEO of Ellevest, the digital investment platform for women she founded, having previously served as CEO of Bank of America Wealth Management.
Digital Asset has 175 employees working in six locations across the world.
