Bitpanda is often called “the European Coinbase”, because it offers a legitimate and functional platform for buying, selling, and exchanging cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Pantos, Ethereum, IOTA, Ripple, BitcoinCash, Litecoin, Komodo, EOS, DASH, OmiseGo, Augur, Stellar, 0x, and NEM).
Bitpanda is a cheap and robust platform, and it has some unique features like using e-mails as account IDs (sort of like PayPal), – and you can transfer funds between accounts without any fees, which is great for contractor payments).
Lately there’s been a surge in interest towards Bitpanda coupons – let’s see if something like that actually exists and whether it’s the real deal.
First and foremost, let’s see if there are any mentions of coupon codes on Bitpanda’s web domain:
Nope. Normally you’d have a mention of existing coupon codes – on a FAQ page, a customer support article or anything similar. The only result page you are getting concerns Bitpanda To Go – an amazing serivce to buy Bitcoin with cash in Austrian post office, but it’s not a coupon.
We’ve checked a couple of coupon websites that come up for the “Bitpanda coupon” query – there are no functional coupons there. Some websites are just automatically generated based on coupon site templates (e.g. these), and they contain a Google ad where the user would want to click instinctively, others just have an affiliate link pointing to Bitpanda registration:
Ironically enough there is also no slot for a coupon anywhere in Bitpanda’s interface. Whenever you deposit money to your account (Credit card, Debit card, Bank transfer, Neteller, SEPA, Skrill, SOFORT, Euro Wallet, Bitpanda To Go) you get whatever you deposited, there’s no reason to give you more because you have a coupon.
Bitpanda is not the kind of service that would offer you coupons and discounts – they would if they were selling products they produce, but they offer financial services and currency conversion – and they would not be giving out money at their own expense. Bitpanda coupons you see online are just referral signup links accompanied with random symbol combinations.
Coupons aside, Bitpanda is a perfectly legitimate platform that lets EU residents buy and trade cryptocurrencies with low fees. Sign up to Bitpanda here if you haven’t yet.
